Finasteride

Finasteride is a medication that inhibits the conversion of testosterone into Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone linked to androgenic hair loss. It can help prevent further hair thinning and promote hair regrowth in patients with androgenetic alopecia.

Individuals may see results after six months of consistent use, with results being optimal after a year of use. 

Possible side effects include libido changes, slight risk of breast enlargement, and erectile dysfunction. However, side effects can be reversible with discontinuing the drug.
